Birzeit University Friends Association (BZUFA) Board of Directors visited Ramallah Municipality to congratulate the newly elected Municipal Council and discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation between both institutions.
The delegation was led by Board Chair Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji and included Board Members Mr. Hassan Qasem, Mr. Khamis Akdeidek, and Mr. Suhaib Al-Sharif, accompanied by BZUFA General Manager Mr. Mohammad Daoud.
The delegation was welcomed by Ramallah Mayor Mr. Jack Saadeh, Deputy Mayor Mr. Majed Abdel Fattah, Municipality Director General Mr. Ahmad Abu Laban, and Director of Communications and Media Ms. Maram Totah.
During the meeting, BZUFA presented an overview of its mission and key programmes, highlighting its work in supporting Birzeit University students through scholarships and educational initiatives, while also preserving Palestinian cultural heritage and promoting sustainable community development.
Discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen institutional cooperation and develop joint initiatives that build on the expertise and resources of both organizations to create lasting community impact.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and further developing their partnership in support of shared goals, particularly those related to student support and community development.
Ramallah Municipality is represented on BZUFA Board of Directors by Municipality Director General Mr. Ahmad Abu Laban, reflecting the longstanding institutional partnership between both organizations.
