A delegation from the Board of Directors of Birzeit University Friends Association (BZUFA) visited Al-Bireh Municipality to congratulate the newly elected Municipal Council and discuss opportunities for future cooperation in support of students and the local community.
The delegation was led by Board Chair Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji and included Board Members Mr. Hassan Qasem, Mr. Khamis Idkeidek, Adv. Suhaib Al-Sharif, Mr. Ahmad Abu Laban, and Ms. Raja Hamayel, accompanied by BZUFA General Manager Mr. Mohammad Daoud. The delegation was received by Al-Bireh Mayor Eng. Muneef Trish.
During the meeting, the Association introduced its mission and highlighted its key programmes supporting Birzeit University students, while also discussing a number of ideas and initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation and developing joint activities that benefit the local community and strengthen community engagement.
Mayor Eng. Muneef Trish emphasized the importance of collaboration with civil society organizations and their role in supporting community and educational initiatives. In turn, Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with local authorities to advance shared goals.
It is worth noting that Al-Bireh Municipality is a member of the Board of Directors of Birzeit University Friends Association, reflecting the longstanding institutional partnership between the two organizations.
