Birzeit University Friends Association and Medicare Laboratories Sign MoU to Provide Training and Career Development Opportunities for Students and Graduates

Ramallah – Medicare Laboratories has joined the network of institutions partnering with Birzeit University Friends Association under the “Isnad and Tamkeen” Program through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at providing practical training and professional development opportunities for students and graduates and preparing them to enter the labor market.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji, Chairwoman of the Association’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Bashar Al-Karmi, General Manager of Medicare Laboratories. The partnership reflects both parties’ commitment to supporting Palestinian youth through closer cooperation between civil society organizations and the private sector.

Under the agreement, program participants will have access to training opportunities at Medicare Laboratories, where they will gain direct exposure to professional practices in the healthcare and medical laboratory sector. The training will also help participants develop the technical and interpersonal skills required to work in a specialized professional environment.

Ms. Masrouji noted that the partnership with Medicare Laboratories adds an important professional field to the opportunities available through the program. She emphasized the Association’s commitment to building partnerships that enable students and graduates to apply their academic knowledge in the workplace, gain practical experience, and improve their employment prospects.

Dr. Al-Karmi affirmed Medicare Laboratories’ commitment to contributing to the development of young Palestinian professionals by sharing its technical knowledge and practical expertise. He added that this cooperation is aligned with the laboratories’ social responsibility and its role in supporting the development of qualified professionals in Palestine’s healthcare sector.

The MoU forms part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to expand the “Isnad and Tamkeen” Program and engage partners from a wide range of professional sectors. Through these partnerships, the Association seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice and create broader pathways to training, career development, and employment for students and graduates.
