As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering students and graduates and strengthening their readiness for the labour market, the Birzeit University Friends Association (BZUFA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Milestones to implement the Isnad & Tamkeen Programme for practical training, professional development, and employment.
The agreement was signed on behalf of BZUFA by Ms. Nisreen Hadi Masrouji, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, and on behalf of Milestones by Mr. Ziad Al Hassan, General Manager. The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to preparing qualified young professionals whose skills align with the evolving needs of the Palestinian labour market.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for collaboration in designing and delivering specialized training programmes that enhance students’ and graduates’ professional and practical competencies. The programme will provide participants with valuable hands-on experience in real work environments, while also offering career guidance and professional mentoring to support their successful transition into the workforce.
Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly implement the programme for eligible students and graduates benefiting from the Birzeit University Friends Association Scholarship Fund. The collaboration will also include organizing professional workshops and career-related events, supervising training activities, and monitoring participants’ progress to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet private sector needs and contribute to the development of Palestinian youth.
Milestones will provide participants with a supportive training environment and will give priority to outstanding trainees for advanced training or employment opportunities whenever available, in accordance with the company's policies and operational needs.
BZUFA emphasized that this partnership is part of its broader strategy to strengthen collaboration with the private sector and create meaningful opportunities for students and graduates to gain practical experience, develop their skills, and enhance their employability. The Association remains committed to building strategic partnerships that bridge the gap between higher education and the labour market while contributing to the social and economic development of Palestine.
