Birzeit University Friends Association and the Palestinian Islamic Bank Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Empower Students and Enhance Their Job Market Opportunities

Ramallah – Within the framework of strengthening its role in supporting students and empowering them academically and professionally, the Birzeit University Friends Association (BZUFA) signed a cooperation agreement with the Palestinian Islamic Bank (PIB). The partnership aims to expand support for underprivileged students and enhance their readiness for the labor market through sustainable training programs and practical initiatives. The memorandum was signed at the PIB General Management headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the Chairperson of BZUFA, Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji, and the General Manager of PIB, Dr. Imad Al-Sadi, along with several representatives from both sides.

The agreement stipulates providing practical internship opportunities for students and graduates benefiting from BZUFA programs, contributing to developing their practical skills and raising their efficiency to meet evolving job market requirements. Additionally, the memorandum includes support for the Association’s productive workshops, bolstering their capacity to sustain operations and diversify income sources. BZUFA emphasized that this partnership aligns with its vision to build an effective network with the banking and private sectors, providing a supportive environment and real professional development tracks for students.

Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji, Chairperson of BZUFA, stated that this step represents a qualitative addition to the Association’s journey, as it embodies the belief in the importance of investing in education and youth as the foundation for a more sustainable future. She added that supporting underprivileged students goes beyond academics, extending to empowering them with the expertise needed for effective integration into the workforce. The Association concluded by praising the Palestinian Islamic Bank for its commitment to the education sector and youth empowerment, noting that this cooperation stands as a model of integration between national institutions dedicated to serving Palestinian society and promoting sustainable development.
