In service to the mission of science, the advancement of our society, and the continuation of spreading knowledge and supporting Palestinian students, I participated this week in the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the Friends of Birzeit University Association in Ramallah. This association plays a major role in supporting the most needy students in their academic career by providing them with scholarships.

I gave a speech about the importance of community leadership and its role in strengthening community members, and I sang with the audience some of my songs and songs of the Palestinian heritage.
